Day 4 - Wednesday August 10 - The Challenge Continues...

No photos today as we made hurried changes to our itinerary due to our mysterious motorcycle problem.

We brought the motorcycle to a Kawasaki bike shop in near Bangor, ME.  Had a oil change done and the mechanic and service manager said they could not positively identify the problem without opening up the top end of the V-Twin engine,  Depending on what the problem is it could take nearly a week to complete the work including ordering parts.   Because we don't have that kind of time they strongly recommended that we tuck tail and return home in case the engine fails completely.

However, as an alternative, they referred us to a Kawasaki dealer in Woodstock, NB (Dave's Sports Centre).  We spoke with Dave and decided to make the trip to Woodstock, NB.  Therefore we had to cancel the ferry from St. John, NB to Digby, NS and cancelled our 2 nights in Shag Harbour.  We arrived at the Best Western Inn (Woodstock) at 10:30 PM after traveling through pouring rain and total darkness along I-95 North.

We had a late snack at the McDonalds down the street (only place open) and are now ready to crash.

We will be dropping the bike off at Dave's Sports Centre early Thursday AM to see if he can work some magic.  Apparently he has access to express delivery of parts so we'll see what he can do.

All part of the adventure, folds.  We've dealt with tougher stuff than this and prevailed.

We'll let you know how things turn out later today!!!

Still having fun,

Bill and Jeanie
